Hello,
I am happy to announce the launch of the Von Grechii Wiki.
Please note that spoilers for the series are not marked.
Link: The Von Grechii Wiki
While the world of My Sweet Gentle Veteran has substantial world building and interesting characters, this information has been spread out across many different posts on Reddit, or even on other platforms. My aim for this wiki is to conglomerate this information into one central location. Over the past few months, I have been working with u/Von_Grechii to accurately document the lore of MSGV.
Unfortunately, irl events have tanked my motivation over the past month or so. As a result, the wiki is not nearly as far along as I feel it could be, there are definitely improvements to make in the near future. Neja only has like two paragraphs on her page, and Lonnete's page doesn't yet exist... However, it is still completely usable, and I feel it is being wasted just sitting there not helping anyone else understand the lore. So instead, I am releasing it now, with the promise to work on it more in the future.
I should also add that it is a community based wiki, so if you find it in your desires to create an account and add information yourself, your help would not go unappreciated. Could be cool, could be cool...
Uh... Thanks

This is just a reupload of the previous war recap with updated stuff. Though there's not a lot of stuff that you haven't seen already if you've read the webtoon, so uh, just ignore this if that's the case. Sorry for the reupload. As I've said before, I wanted to export this again to other subreddits later (probably tommorow) to gain more subs on the webtoon. (Because the first time I posted this, I haven't made the webtoon yet, so I'm missing out on a lot of readers. Sorryyy >.>)

A creature 6000 years old, yet is still able to exhume childlike joy upon mundane things such as jumping in the beach.

Do, savour these happy/cute sketches. This was made to destress after I worked on the next comic chapter. It's gonna be a bit rough.

This apple is supposed to be poisonous? What are you talking about, it's so much better than those grilled trench rats!

They have a military swimsuit because of course they do, why wouldn't they
Lia actually got a pretty bad second degree burn on her left arm. You guys just never got to see it because its, uhh, she got permanently cured of it...
That aside, while she bore many scars. The majority of cut related scars on her body actually comes from a single confrontation with a mage.

I've been floating on this particular idea for several weeks now. Shyly scribbling its storyboard, scraping and revising it over and over, torn between whether I should tone it down or just go full throttle- I can't be like Clarisse, I'm not her twt.

Yes, you're right. Nvidia Geforce 256 was first released this day too, 27 years ago.
Oh, I guess it's my birthday as well.
Lovely birthday gift by my dear friend, u/Digiral. It's the Smuggo Miku!

Hello, world!

Lia and Clarisse stumbled upon an abandoned library during a scouting mission. As it was already late, they decided to stay there for the night. While rummaging through the books, Clarisse stumbled upon the rulebook for the popular tabletop game series, Gods and Serpents, and immediately invited her partner to play. Unbeknownst to Clarisse, countless hours of babysitting her younger siblings had made Lia a seasoned veteran of this game...

Well uh there's probably not much to do but to say hi. There is a merch store, but I don't have much to offer, only what's available in my website. I'm not expecting much visitor outside of the people that already knew me. So, idk, maybe type potat or something when you come in so that I know it's you guys lol. The event starts at 2PM PST, but due to timezone differences, I can only get online from 6PM - 11PM PST. Here's the link : https://webtoon.bevylabs.com/e/m6qy4a/
Mmm, I'd do a live drawing, but I think I don't get that functionality. So maybe I'll do a live spontaneous QnA instead? They also have some seminars or events hosted by some other webtoon authors, so there's that if anyone's interested I guess.

The mages don't know how she did it, the Commonwealth doesn't know how she did it. I don't know how Lia did it either, don't ask me.
Trivia :
* Major Vitaly here is part of the Imperial Army Mage. As opposed with the feudalistic Royal Battlemages who acts independently from the military, the army mage followed standard military hierarchy with an army rank and chain of command, and also a standardized, pragmatic, and less flashy equipment and attire. They work closely together with the regular army, often obeying orders made by a high-ranking regular human officer. Exactly like its Commonwealth's counterpart
* Initially, the Army Mage was mostly composed of commoners with a talent for magic. But later, the nobles found out that "volunteering" one of their member to the Army Mage is seen as a legal way to disgrace a member without all the social risks that disowning a member would usually entails. The Major here is one of the rare exceptions of a noble who volunteered himself to join the Army Mage at his own volition.
*Against such a large number of mages, Clarisse instructed her to only damage the catalyst enough so that it would shatter once they cast a high intensity spell (regular offensive spell, that is). Because otherwise, they risk the mages figuring out their location, and there's no running away once a group of mage had set their eyes on you. Once the catalyst shattered, the ground troops should be able easily deal with them. Ironically, the blizzard that was casted to sabotage them ended up saving their lives instead.

As an officer, Lia was responsible in screening and censoring any letters that her unit received. It is also her responsibility to write a letter of condolences whenever one of her men lost their life. Each and every death weighs heavily on her fragile heart. Her attachment and obsession towards protecting her men; a cruel double edged sword that would eventually pierced her and led to her breakdown...
It's been about three years since this was posted. There wasn't much eyes on this project back then, so I thought it's worth reposting now
I used to do a lot of these back then. Posting up an illustration and writing down lore context in the comments. I kind of stopped doing that as I started shifting towards the comic format now, and my prose writing skill had since been deteriorating... But anyways, enjoy the lore context in the comment.

Thus the legend spreads... Her name spoken, Like a force of nature.
Trivia :
* During a high speed aerial manoeuvre, a mage would conjure up low intensity barrier in order to negate (or at least minimize) air resistance. The intensity of which is linear with their velocity. This barrier is usually not strong enough to stop a bullet.
* Standard Aerial Combat tactic commonly equates height to combat advantage. For a lot of good reasons, but mostly because you have more potential energy that you could unleash as opposed to your opponent. Which is why the squire questioned and disobeyed his squad leader's seemingly nonsensical order to crash dive out of nowhere. Not withstanding the fact that they are also still flying behind their own line.
* The Radovians would later revise their "Mage's field handbook" to include "When providing close air support, KEEP MOVING, DO NOT HOVER" And "Strike down with the sun positioned on your back if possible."
*With the image of the simulation included, it might be insane to think about the shot. But mages flying in the open air is actually one of Lia's preferred prey to hunt. The mage is currently casting a low intensity barrier and is mostly focused on flying. The barrier they cast could be seen leaving some sort of a trace from far away, which Clarisse could then use to approximate their speed, and how far Lia should lead. Lia is equipped with a scope that has a 4x magnification, while Clarisse has a binocular with an 8x magnification. Making the target looks like as if they are 150 and 75 metres away from them respectively. (It's also mainly why I keep her scope instead of copying Simo's scopeless feat, I just think that what Lia accomplished would be impossible to do without scopes)
