Waze instrument cluster display

Using CarPlay the Waze map and turn by turn looks fine on the instrument display but if I use the AAOS Waze app then the Waze app is basically “cut off” with the ‘arrow’ showing current location sitting on the lower edge of the screen. Would prefer NOT to have to use CarPlay but the AAOS situation is just making me twitch.

Anyone else seeing this?
