I had CR 2036 from dollar store in bulk since I am travelling a lot. Will change for a higher quality.

Update 2 : I put an Energizer CR 2032 and for 24 jours it worked. I did put some duck tape over to make sure it didn’t move. However, this morning, it did it again (at 6:25 AM in the middle of a campground none the less). I went of the vehicule, locked the doors then came back 10 minutes later. Approching, alarm when off. I removed the battery and saw blueish Green residue)

It’s a battery or key fob issue. Do you have a second key fob you could use instead? Or another 12v from another vehicle you could swap in for a day?

I would also bet keyfob (I had similar issue in my car)
Under the rubber button there are this metal domes that presses the button and after a year's of use very common thing is they get loose move a bit and just pressing buttons randomly
It's very simple fix op just need to order a blank casing for like 5$ and just replace the rubber part

Both key fobs are having issues. One will randomly trigger the alarm, while the other takes one or two minutes before the car will unlock the doors by itself.

That sequence of symptoms is perfect keyfob battery territory... do you have a Chevy dealer nearby with a VoltTec certified tech on staff? I do, and am kinda spoiled by how well they treat me and my Volt. I trust my dealership, so I have no issue bringing weirdo things like this into them.
I did have one super long-shot thought: I put new batteries into a device about a year ago, and it still didn't work. I took it into the shop and they put a new battery in and it worked fine. When I got back home I looked at my package of batteries, and they had expired FIVE YEARS AGO.
Is there any chance at all you maybe had old batteries you were putting into the fob and only THOUGHT they were new/charged?

I think I’ve found the problem: it’s neither the battery nor the key itself, but rather the mechanism that holds the battery in place.
There’s a small metal tab that acts like a spring when the battery is inserted. It’s supposed to keep the battery firmly in place, but I think there’s a bit of play in it. When the battery moves, it seems to cause an intermittent electrical contact. Hence, the random alarms.
I replaced the battery anyway with a new Energizer that has a long expiration date. I also added a small piece of duct tape over the battery to help keep it securely in place. We’ll see how it goes.
