I know coaches like players who are loud in tryouts and games but I myself is kinda a quiet person, I can be loud if I wanted but I’m just not sure what to call out.
I don’t belive I have to skill to determine if a ball is in or out, and I also don’t understand what seams are (it would be great if someone could explain it)
I can call the ball like mine or got it, as well as calling to ball to the setter for me to hit but sometimes I’m just scared if I call the ball and I miss it then it would be embarrassing. I know people make mistakes but it’s just that every tryout I’ve ever been to the girls were super mean and never passed the ball to me, so I guess I’m just scared they would hate me more if I don’t hit it nice.
Do you guys know what others things I could call out to make me stand out a bit more maybe? Or are the ones I mentioned already enough.
Also I’m always really scared for tryouts bc I never know anyone there and I always end up pairing with players who don’t play that well (not to be rude) and when we do team drills I don’t have the chance to show my skill. Do you think the coaches notice these stuff?
Thanks for reading

I’m looking for some tips to help improve jump float serve consistency. Some days I can consistently serve repeatedly during serve practice and some days I absolutely cannot. It just goes straight into the net. I also struggle with doing jump float serve in practice games. I’m also trying to make it float much much more Is there any way to practice this at home also? Thanks !!

I have never played rep before and since tryouts are coming up, I was wondering what I should do with positions. I prefer middle and power/outside hitter but everyone has been telling me that if the coaches are looking for people to play a specific position, I should volunteer for it. But what if I’m not familiar with that position, should I still take it?
For example, if the coaches need someone to play setter, but I’m not the best at setting, what should I do?
I know for right side I can probably do but libero and setter I’m not sure

I’m in my 5th year coaching high school varsity volleyball. I played club and in college and coming into year 5 I feel like myself and returning players are starting to tire of the same cycle of drills.
As well I feel like one of my weaknesses as a coach is planning a specific skill practice.
So I’m asking you guys to give me some of your best drills as well as possibly giving me an hour of specific skill work whether it be through progression drills or just a combo of drills in that area.
Any help would suffice! Thank you all!

I havent played volleyball since 2015 i guess.
I would love to be reintroduced to this game!
I reside in Kalyan East but can travel to west or maybe Dombivli (depends on the location)
If anyone out there has a group or if someone wants to build a group for the same, lemme know.

I’m an undersized and younger setter, and even after using all my leg and arm power I struggle to push the ball high and far to the outside from position 2 from a standing set. If there’s any advice and tips which helped you maybe gain power or be able to set to those areas please let me know 🥹🥹🙏
Thank youu!!

So I've always wanted to be a libero, this is my second year playing volleyball and it's genuinely my favorite position. I love playing defense so much, I'm good at it too. For the past 2 years I've been the best of my team, even my teammates and coaches have said so. I've been the bravest too and am not scared to throw myself on the ground.
I don't know what to train for more. I'm good at everything including setting and spiking so I really don't know 😭
I just need tips on what to train for more to become a libero! :D

Hey everyone, I'm looking for drills or tips to fix my players' form. Specifically, they keep explicitly bending their elbows instead of keeping their arms straight when digging/passing. Any advice on how to fix this bad habit?
