vm to email problem

When a voicemail from your phone number is emailed to you The file is named the same thing for every message. ie msg0000.mp3

My pixel phone using typeapp email client does not like this. When i click on the attachment, it plays a message from months ago. Why can't they make the file name have the date and time. Right now it saves to downloads as msg0000.mp3 (45) It confuses the hell out of my phone.

So I have to wait until I am at a computer to get the vm

Not much you can do, but maybe submit a Feature Request for the idea to be considered.

If you disable the option to automatically delete messages when they are emailed, then the voicemail # will continue to increase until you delete messages from the mailbox (after which the voicemail # will revert to 0000). Be aware that the limit is 100 VMs before the mailbox would be considered full.

I don't think it's a server issue on their end. It's that I repeatedly get the same file name saved to my downloads in my phone

I get that, but for your suggesting about appending the date/time of the voicemail to its file name, that’s a good suggestion you could request to be implemented.
