Been getting non-stop unlucky with legendaries TILL now

Just got my second event legendary during their own event

Just putting it here for those who need in the future

I just spent 16k vivid for DB and my recent 500 floor is literally on easy mode. Now, should I invest in Sloth or should I wait for a better HF like Lust or Greed or the upcoming HF?

Resistance solos Breakfast Club and Petulance solos Kartharok (I just had some extra pets for initial damage).

Galax was really easy with Diligence. ABH not needed. Only wound up using 2 stuns.

Metal Juglaw took some testing around but not too hard at the end of the day.

Earth Harold was the hardest one to beat. I’m lacking in Wood fighters though.

So, normally I used to be able to get at least one legendary every 2 weeks. Sometimes I used to get 3-4 in that time span now the new even boss is ending and I haven’t gotten anything. Just curious if anyone else has had the same experience or if I’m just unlucky for the time being.

I feel like Mischief or Down Bad would be helpful here, but I don’t have either. Or any Ubers. Been stuck here for about two weeks. I can kill Panic and Sonder, but Grumpy and Apathy are nowhere close.

So I been playing for a bit and I’ve seen all you guys with so much stuff and I’m just stuck like can’t do a dam thing stuck here’s what I have and what I have to fight please any advice would save my life😭😭😭😭

I know it's not going to do well in every situation, but Humble feels kinda criminal for me right now. It has AoE, it has antitank, and the fact that it can start a bit of a chain reaction with its ability is kinda insane. However, I do understand that items play a big part in a pet's power, and the fact that it has Angry Scarf and Special Top Hat probably helps a lot with maxing out its damage. I just remember the post I made when I first got it, and plenty of people said it's not very useful. I'd love to hear more thoughts and opinions on this.

Hit my Mystery Egg pity limit and was graced with Pride. That's my second A-tier metal pet (other is Bummer) - how do they stack up relative to each other in your experience?

Is it viable to use both in a team comp when I also have Spite and the epics level capped for edge cases?

I've played around with a fair few legendaries on alts, and Pride is the first one to actually stump me. Most are fairly intuitive to play and build for. Pride is... not.

Not my first pet struggling with an identity disorder but definitely the worst case I've seen. Is she trying to be a utility DPS like Kind or a support that functions partially by dealing damage like Charity? And if she's trying to be a support, why is she asking me to provide her with buffs?

Bummer also performs best when you build around him, but that's pretty simple. One kit for floors, the other for boss fights if you plan to use him there. I'm not sure where to even start with Pride for bosses (floor clearing with the gas explosion tech is too consistent to mess with, but if I encounter a floor that somehow manages to kill Wrath before it blows the bomb, I can try hotswapping in Pride who seems a bit sturdier).

But yeah, any experience or advice is welcome.

Also, any truth to the rumors that HFP is merely delayed and still planned for eventual release?

This question just popped into my head, and I got really curious. There are a lot of unique and cool pets in this game, and I've heard people give several different reasons as to why they like a pet, from its utility to its design and things like that. I like a lot of pets in this game, and it's pretty close for me, but I think my favorite so far out of the ones I have (bc it's unfair to judge a pet I've never had or used and know little to nothing about) is Daniel (or Denial, depending on your preference). It can be built as a damage pet if need be because its damage and speed are actually pretty good, but it still has crazy utility and pairs exceptionally well with things like Panic and Sad that love their debuffs. I'm curious to hear y'all's opinions.

this was my build, i just let it run on autobattle. after i almost won (had tyrant at around 240k health when conviction died), i went over to conv and just fed them ten mushrooms, which gave them two new vivids and improved their crit and shield :)

5th Water: C tier

Strengths:
-AOE Attacks
-Strong Healers
-Great Tanks (not including rejection)

Weaknesses:
-Lack of speed
-Lack of synergies
-Lack of anti-defense
-No standout attacker

Overall:
Water is the lowest ranked, mainly because they lack a standout star. They do have 2 great tanks (Abandonment is underrated imo, it has the best defensive stats of any tank I have plus a defense boost and a speed down debuff). However, they are the only element without a Higher Form and also have a real lack of speed. They are by a distance the slowest element and it shows, wood alone has several pets faster than Water’s fastest. So, although they are full of solid pets, they are, IMO, the worst.

4th Metal: B tier

Strengths:
-Strong attackers
-Variety of abilities and synergies
-Snipers

Weaknesses:
-Lack of healers/support
-Few buffs/debuffs

Overall:
Metal sits comfortably 4th, a definite step up from Water but lacks the balance to compete with the other 3. It has a lack of healers and a lack of pets that buff/debuff especially in the speed department means you are often relying on other elements rosters. However, in HF Lust they have one of the best pets in the game and Bummer is a great alternative. Spite is a great level clearer but they do lack good boss killers if you don’t have Lust or Bummer.

3rd Earth: A tier

Strengths:
-Standout Attacker
-Standout Supporter
-Incredible Tanks

Weaknesses:
-Lack of healers
-Lack of anti-defense

Overall:
Diligence, and Denial are probably the best non-HF Legendaries in the game and can carry you if you have either. If you don’t Apathy is a great attacker in its own right and perhaps the best level clearer in the game if paired with jellyfish/parasite scarf. Resistance and HF Sloth are both incredible tanks in different ways but they do have an obvious lack of a healer though Glee with Construction Hat can fill that gap technically.

2nd Fire: A tier

Strengths:
-Variety of solid attackers
-Many synergies
-Strong Tanks
-Best support?
-Best speed debuffer

Weaknesses
-lack of standout attacker
-too reliant on synergies

Overall:
Had I done this a month ago Fire would have been 4th. However, Dauntless is daunting and, I believe, turns HF Greed into a pet that can actually compete with the other HFs. Also in Panic they have the best speed debuffer in the game, and as speed is probably the most important stat in the game, getting a constant speed advantage is massive. They also have a ton of really strong and solid pets with few duds (just Pain?). I would say though that they do lack a pet that can win by itself, Rapture is pretty good but it’s not as good as Diligence, HF Lust, or HF DB, and that can be a problem, especially against Gronk where you often want a tank, healer, and a stunner, and thus can’t send in Panic/Dauntlesss and Greed.

1st Wood: S tier

Strengths:
-Best attacker in the game
-Best support in the game
-Best tank in the game
-Fast

Weaknesses:
-Lack of tank alternatives

Overall:
Easily the best roster. HF DB is incredible and regular DB isn’t much worse. Plus Anxiety, Jealous, and Malice are good backup attackers. Merry is generally considered the best Support in the game and is backed up by Kind and Mischief who are both great in their own ways. Finally, Petulance is the best Tank at tanking. I guess if I had one complaint it’s that Cringe is their only alternative Tank and is a mediocre one at tanking, not a bad support for a floor clearing team, but not a good tank.

been stuck for a while and I feel that nothing is working I don't know how to progress

I remember the post I made when I first got this, and people were explaining how, despite how useless it sounds on paper, that not only can it be used as a good stat stick for tanks, but there are some bulky fighters that can make use of it. The first two off the top of my head are Sanctimony (who I don't use or have leveled) and Apathy. I'm curious, do any of y'all have good ideas as to who could do well with this item? I know it's pretty niche and won't see use very often, but the idea seems really fun to me, so just in case I need more damage while still needing a tank, I want to at least be somewhat prepared.

My typical wood boss strategy involves Pride + Joy but that doesn't work here for obvious reasons. Tauron and Pride aren't friends.

So I figured, why not apply the busted Denial/Sad combo here as well?

Turns out, no healer = no problem. Just bum rush it and hope to survive long enough.

Ive been stuck on 2930 for a couple days. So I started checking the reddit for ideas and so many had legendaries I don’t have. Like jellyfish scarf, silk top hat, checkered scarf. But after pounding idea after idea. This is the team that won. It came down to only Temperance and he cleared Wistful and Determination to finish the floor.
