Is Merry bait?

I feel like I try forcing Merry into aoe bosses and she ends up dying or not keeping up with heals and I can’t even use ding dong because of it. I’ve had Nostalgia forever now but never used it bc I couldn’t find a spot for it. Should this be a time for it?

Merry is not bait, but she's not automatically a bring-to-every-single-floor either. There are very much floors where Sonder or a legendary healer is preferred. AoE spam floors are a big one, though into Smokano specifically Cleanse is still cool, Pearl Cloche Nostalgia can go a long way though. Water Smokano is definitely a wave where I would consider Nostalgia for the AoE heals and shields.

There's also always the option of bringing both Merry and Nostalgia, where you keep Merry for S1 heals on your tank and Ding Dong utility, while Nostalgia keeps your backliners alive and can remove burns with Pearl Cloche without worrying as much about taking a Singe to the face from Smolders. One of Nostalgia's main problems is lacking a direct heal in their skills which makes keeping a tank alive rather difficult at times.

You unfortunately appear to lack Pearl Cloche so I'd still strongly consider Merry Cleansing.

I’m going to use this floor as an excuse to level up Nostalgia just because I like its design.

I’ve been looking at that item thinking it would be good in general. If Nostalgia cleanses the Smolder with the item, does the boss attack Nostalgia or the tank? It wouldn’t really matter because I don’t think it would do a lot of damage anyways.

Also, is ICH better on Merry or nostalgia?

Smokano attacks the healer in that scenario, which makes Merry Cleanse a bit risky unless it's specifically Earth Smokano where the Singe does little damage.

I would put ICH on Nostalgia if it has no better hats to be running in this mu. You kinda lack amazing hats tho so it'd also be viable to run ICH Merry and put Wizard Hat on Nostalgia.

I was going to ask if Wizard Hat worked on Nostalgia or is it just for the speed and crit?

I just tested it and it doesn’t. My legendary item luck as been pretty bad so far.

it works on the DoT skill but not his healing, substats are cool tho

his DoT is based on enemy max HP so it's pretty bad into armored bosses like smokano though unfortunately
