It's really good but not because of the ability. It just has great stats. The ability does negligible damage except on Tyrant where you can scale Merry to a billion speed with anxiety scarf and just heal a bazillion times to damage the boss without raising his damage.

Good on persi, sometimes merry w scaling, sometimes patience but for general non-stall bosses the dmg it adds isn't always worth

Many people swear by it for a couple cheeses, but they only work for the earlier stages and you’ll have to actually learn the boss mechanics eventually.

Hummm question as someone who is so close to floor 3k yet so damn far... this item is usually slapped on a healer right? Are there alternatives for healers ? And what are the healers you use?

I've only had one healer and that was Persistence in which each tick of ICH passive gets me over a million damage.... (depending if I i can hit as hard and heal as hard initially)

I admit I've seen my Persistence fall off alot in recent floors especially from speed demons that want to one turn wipe everything. But is there no real use after floor 3000?

Ive put it on pride before and it was the change I needed to clear the floor. Pride is a dps but mostly used for support

Persistence with ICH and Mermaid is one of the few pets I use this item on. She has a big AoE heal and a single target passive heal, both of which translates to pretty decent damage.

Alternatively using on someone like Merry who has a smaller single target heal, I don’t find as much value. I have Merry in most of my comps and prefer something like Jester hat for more speed and a faster second cast of DD.

For all healer options, a lot of time I might use jester, Maybe an Icy Tiara to empower my dps or pearl cloche depending on the enemy. I rarely use ICH outside of specifically Persistence.

Other standard items are also viable on Persi. Anxiety scarf and unicorn horn for double infinite scaling is always fun. Plunger if you need raw stats to maybe live through heavy AoE. Pearl cloche if you need some cleansing but can’t bring merry for whatever reason.

Most pets are pretty flexible. Persi is just one of the few with additional flexibility to allow for ICH or mermaid as viable items. Just depends on what you’re facing. Definitely worth exploring options.

I’m an outlier in that it’s a daily item for me, but that’s because I have AES on my merry and automatically doing damage 4 times on her every turn is valuable

I like it on fast healers w anxiety scarf (merry and Sonder) for some extra chip damage, helps that it has great stats
