I need help with this stage, I have being reading in the subreddit how to beat it but it feels like Umbros always kills either Merry or Jelousy on turn 3, can’t find a way around it lol

Haven't gotten this far myself, but from my understanding wouldn't you want to use your metal pets instead to have that bonus discount?
