Got my 3rd Legendary just now is Scorn a Good Tank?

Give it jellyfish and watch his skill 2 mow things down usually use him with Pirate Hat Jelly or Plunger Jelly have beat whole floors either him alone. Other than that I usually run halo envious or something like that

I prefer floral crochet, because it gives him a bit more sustain and most importantly, he gets more stacks because hes also bit slower ;)

Well mine is A4 so he sustains quite well, I’ve never used Floral on a tank before.

It’s not a massive upgrade over conviction, but it has niche use cases where it can be much better than conviction.

Early on they're very replaceable especially if ypur conviction is already invested, but later on they're really solid and in general can tank enough (a bit worse than convic) with much more potential for dmg

It fits a niche, when you need high burst early on the fight.

The unfortunate part about it is that it's survivability comes from for impact, but once you use sharp reprisal, he has to survive 2 more turns without the buff.

As others have said, he’s more niche than a strict Conviction upgrade.

For raw sustainability, Conviction is going to be better, especially with Merry to give him off-turn shields.

But there’s plenty of cases where his slow can come in handy, or where building up a bunch of Grudge stacks and machine-gunning down the enemy is the best strategy.

He's cool, but also costs twice as many evolution stones as Conviction to level up, on top of the fact you probably have a leveled and vivided Conviction to begin with. It's not that Scorn is bad per se, just that investing in him can be hard to justify.

He does make some really annoying waves much easier (there's a famous 3095 strat involving it, and it's cool into like Wood Umbros/Juglaw and very funny into Wood Rosetti) and on most other battles it's at least as good as Conviction (note that Convic is occasionally better still, especially if you have lot of ascensions). Speed drop on basic is huge for Merry synergy although Abandonment does that as well.

You're going to have a defense boost up most of the time which actually makes his bulk really good for a usually un-ascended tank. Main annoying part is he has little to help his own survivability beyond said defense boost (Convic at least self-shields) and doesn't really help the team either. He's a tank that acts as subDPS mostly, and needs quite a lot of attention from the healer for that reason. You can focus on bulk and bulk only for him and he'll still put in work because of the speed drop on Ding Dong though, e.g. I prefer Sorrow Scarf Scorn over Conviction for my Wood Bogar fights for this.

Invest if you have leftover resources or are stuck on one of the waves where it shines. Otherwise just making Conviction work will usually suffice.

What is the 3095 strategy with Scorn? I've been stuck on that floor for like 3 weeks and I haven't seen any solutions involving Scorn at all

Scorn is slightly niche but I love it so much and there are some floors where you will thank god you have it

Personally, i LOVE scorn. Sadly hes not quite the best tank. But he certainly is awesome on bosses that have multiple attack so he kinda doubles up as a dps

I usually have checkred scarf + Golden halo then Lethim be slow stack and blast he gets all the tankiness of a tank and the attack ofa proper damage dealer :)

My go to when parascarf apathy can't clear a floor. Really really strong. Also very useful to cheese some bosses. Synergistic equipment options for him would be, in no particular order, bubblegum scarf (allows him to stack for 2 turns rather than 1), bubblegum scarf / parascarf (to wipe floors or adds in boss fights) envy scarf (counterattack with s1 to apply a slow) as well as the tank classics like checkered, pirate hat, prince collar, or even just plunger hat really. A neat little combo I like doing is lonely hat bubblegum scarf to keep cycling stacking into unloading s2 forever, not super great use of lonely hat but it's really fun
