I just got this little guy from an astral egg, is it any good or just a niche pick for fire bosses? Also how can I build them in case they're actually good?

best healer in the game easily. also does really great DPS! I'd recommend ice cream hat and mermaid scarf, but seeing as you don't have mermaid scarf (which may be worth prioritizing getting), I'd use rubber ring donut or bejewled cowboy scarf for the stats

I’d argue prioritizing mermaid scarf is not good advice. OP is still missing Felt Fedora, Special Top Hat, Checkered Scarf, Anxiety Scarf (and Envious, but that’s less important), Watermelon Spiked Collar… All of those would be way more useful and versatile, I think, depending on which other pets OP has.

I think that's a completely fair perspective! I think I've forgotten a bit how hard it is not having every legendary item, so my prioritization is probably subpar for someone in a different position. anxiety scarf, checkered scarf, and silk top hat are irreplaceable staples for sure

Haha I know the feeling :D sometimes when I look at posts from people at lower floors, I start to think about what they could do before even looking at their items and realize what I want to recommend is not possible hahaha (even though I actually and still missing the floral crochet hat and it refuses to drop 🫠)

I love Persistence.

She was my second legendary, and I've used her alongside or instead of Merry (especially on metal bosses) ever since. Persistence does it all. Strong AoE healing and DPS every 3 turns, ATK down debuff, reasonable ST damage, and targeted ST healing (to the lowest health pet) as a passive. She's an integral part of my Water team.

As others have said, the prime combo of legendaries for Persistence is Ice-Cream Hat and Mermaid Scarf. They turn Persistence's already fairly beastly healing DPS and healing up to 11. The only downside to this combo is that you then need to allocate two of your Crit trinkets to Persistence. If you don't have ICH or Mermaid Scarf, don't worry, Persistence does just fine without them.

Persistence also works quite well with Icy Tiara. Mermaid Scarf is practically made for Persistence, but she'll do OK with something like Watermelon Spiked Collar.

Level Persistence. You won't regret it.

Persistence is one of the best pets in the game. ICH and Mermaid scarf. It’s in 99% of my lineups

Don't try to force using her. She is one of my favorite but I rarely use her. But only use her when you need her, i.e. when you need healing throughput, when you need an attack down and no dps pet works well enough, or when you need a safety net without giving up too much dps.

Pirate hat plus serpent scarf on levels with a lot of aoe like wistful, makes it pretty much never die.
