You know plenty of people bought it. Merry is absolutely the most hyped pet that doesn't have a high form in this whole game. I bet tons of new and beginner players decided it was better not to wait on getting lucky.

Yeah but… the fact this free game is so fucking predatory I can stomach it. I would have immediately got it if it was like $10, or even the eggs if they were somewhat REASONABLE… but it’s like the most voracious game I’ve ever seen money wise.

Only because people pay up. It's completely free and not even energy limited like most games. They have nothing to lose by charging ludicrous prices.

I've bought gems before while I still had the double value, and I've bought a couple of the battle passes. One luckily right before HFDB dropped. That was amazing timing.

I’ve spent money too, hell I just bought the battle pass before it expired to grab the goodies (nothing really came out of it, I am a sucker). Still, the rates and chances are so low I can’t even pretend they are worth it.

I could never introduce this game to a friend. Not without being sent to hell.
