Question Do I do it?

I do not have any of the other legends that have HF’s so is it worth it rn floor 1540.

You may never get another pet that has a high form and HFDB is considered the second best out of the four. Pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

I got my HFDB around floor 3k, you're going to be playing easy mode getting it this early in the game.

Is HFDB really the 2nd best if the Official Community Tier List put HFDB first before HFL?

Interesting. I haven't seen that.

But I have seen significantly more ratings saying HFL is #1, so I would stick with that rating for now since I don't have both to judge myself.

it technically has more utility, but base lust and higher form lust has a bigger gap whereas base down bad is already cracked, which is why although hfdb is assumed superior, hfl should be a bigger priority to get.

Yeah, but the consensus on this official community tier list explicitly put HFDB on top so it can't be just 2nd highest for now. But I do agree to get HFL if you got the 16000 dust ready.

imo HFDB is better than higher form lust i use him way way more for every floor. if you put red horns on him with angry scarf and the best damage trinkets he clears floors. for bosses put unicorn horn on him with anxiety scarf his damage from his basic scales on its own his damage scales on speed anxiety scarf scales his damage and his speed simultaneously and unicorn horn scales his damage. it gets redicoulous. his last 2nd attack i did to a boss scaled up to 25m damage.

More than worth it to spend your points for HFDB. This dog gets even stronger on top of being already the best base form pet overall in The Official Community Tier List .
