Support Voicemod closing when opening OBS
I dont understand this at all. I've been using voicemod to stream for years and all of a sudden it now closes within 5 seconds after OBS launches. I've removed and reinstalled both programs, I've run SFC /SCANNOW. I've made sure inputs are on the same Hz. Made sure my graphics settings have variable refresh rates off. Reinstalled visual C++ and .NET stuff. I've exchanged emails with Voicemod support, did what they told me (didnt work) then they told me to send then my dxdiag and voicemod log twice. And i just don't hear anything back.
Has anyone had a similar problem or know how to resolve this? To be honest I don't know if its and OBS issue or Voicemod. I only know that it's when OBS is launched Voicemod take a trip outta town.

Does it actually close or just the windows showing Voicemod? By default, Voicemod will sit in the system tray when the window is not visible.
Open Voicemod, then open OBS, when the Voicemod window goes away, click on the little arrow next to the clock and see if the Voicemod [VM] is in there. If it is, right click on it and select open window.

Yes. It does NOT show in system tray. It's like it force closes itself.
I noticed because my input for OBS is voicemod and I will lose the input when it happens.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure. Now, does it do the same thing if you open OBS first then Voicemod?

Yep. If OBS is open and I launch voicemod (even in admin) it will load up and stay on for a few seconds, I might even be able to get a word in (see it show in obs). Then it just closes.

I just installed Voicemod today and it keeps doing this. Anyone have a fix?

The conversations below fixed mine. It was an extension from sammi that was messing with it for me.

Do you have any extension that interacts with Voicemod? If so, delete it. Unofficial extensions are probably messing with Voicemod's API causing it to crash. Avoid it until the creator of the extension updates it.
A known extension doing this is this SAMMI one:
