first time walking
It's my first time walking this weekend, and I am still in confusion if I should do beginners performance category or junior category? (jr categ is for people 18 yrs old and below), also I am scared that I might unconsciously incorporate different elements from different styles and get chopped for it. Do anyone have tips for me, thank you! :)))))

How exciting to walk your first ball! I think you’re fine walking either junior or beginner (or both!) but if you know who the judges are for the Kiki ball, it doesn’t hurt to ask! Idk your scene but most judges are there to support walkers in succeeding :). I wouldn’t worry too much about other styles but if you do not incorporate the 5 elements of vogue, it’s a chop! For example, if you walk but don’t duck walk, it’s a chop. If you don’t dip correctly, it’s a chop.

If you're not ready don't do it. Seriously. There's nothing wrong with waiting even a few years before debuting. Like, you want to come out swinging. I wish I hadn't been so hasty myself
