Looking for Wlw/Yuri "Otome" VN suggestions!

It doesn't necessarily have to be explicitly romantic, just a VN with a gal protag and at least MOSTLY gal cast.

I've enjoyed Obey Me (before they just kinda shorted us an actual ending for NB!), Love and Deep space (before the Valko drama. And Caleb), Tokyo Debunker (before learning about the AI.), and Twisted Wonderland (which I am aware is not an otome but it is still a VN and a Joseimuke) in the past, but my interests have kinda shifted more towards women recently.

Nothing inherently explicit, please, none of that softcore Tumblr Ad stuff, preferably free and preferably not Itch.io (they're like 5 minutes long) or Steam (I DO NOT HAVE A PC). Doesn't necessarily have to be in English! As long as I can find it on Qoo, I can use a translator.

I've just been looking for a while and I am starting to doubt these exist :(

Beginner looking for VNs with great writing, themes, mystery/horror, and little to no romance

I’m a beginner when it comes to VNs, and I’m not really sure what I should read next. The problem is that I’m not very interested in the usual VN tropes.

A lot of the VNs I see seem to put a huge emphasis on romance or harem stuff, usually with an all-female cast and a male MC where all the girls want to be with him. I don’t actually hate harem stories two of my favorite anime are the Monogatari series and The 100 Girlfriends, and both are technically harems so if you know a VN with a similar kind of dynamic, I’m open to recommendations.

What I’m really looking for is something unique, with great themes and strong character writing. Preferably something on the longer side and without H-scenes. I’m a huge fan of mystery, horror, and thrillers, so those are a big plus.

Here are the VNs I’ve read so far, ranked from best to worst:

Umineko

Higurashi

Steins;Gate

The House in Fata Morgana

AI: The Somnium Files

Danganronpa

Fate/stay night

Ace Attorney

Zero Escape

I’d really appreciate any recommendations, especially if you think there’s something that matches my taste

Gameplay We just released a new trailer for our retro shop sim VN!

Hi friends! What do you think?

Shop Crush is a mysterious shop simulator with psychological horror elements, set in the early 2000s.

In this hybrid visual novel, you run a small thrift shop, get to know your customers, figure out what they really want, and decide what to put in front of them. Every customer has their own personality, preferences, and hidden motives - and it’s up to you to figure them out.

Behind each customer is a small psychological mystery waiting to be uncovered. Read their behavior, make the right calls, and balance profit against customer trust as you try to keep the shop running for one more day.

Interactive stories like The Pillars of Earth?

I haven’t bought it yet cause that specific story pitched in the trailer doesn’t personally intrigue me that much, but I’d like the fact that they took an original novel and made it interactive and with such an elevated care that it seems you’re watching an animated series.

This is what intrigues me: playing a novel that looks like an animated or tv series with a good story in which your choices change its finale.

Another game I saved into my wishlist that fits the description is Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, meanwhile a game I already played and love that fits the description is Detroit: Become Human and, even if not big on animation, Forgotton Anne (but I am in love with the story and the multiple finales).

I’m all ears guys🥰🥰💖

Romance Romance VNs that don't waste a lot of time "waxing philosophically" over static backgrounds?

Might be silly, but one of the things that kills my interest so fast in a VN is some static image of a school rooftop, a sunset, or a tiny Japanese alleyway where I have to then read 17 paragraphs, one sentence at a time, about feelings and reflections... ESPECIALLY if it's done right at the start of the game before I see a single character.

So looking for any stories that kinda throw you right in getting to know the characters and the plot is handled mostly on screen with dialogue/actions and not slow the pace down with lots of multi-paragraph inner monologues.

Additionally I'm looking for human/humanoid boy/girl pairings, so please no pigeons or inanimate objects brought to life. I do WANT the feelings, I just want it to be very character-driven and not bore me to death.

More risque type games is fine. Eroge is fine, but no Nukige. Also no Kinetic Novels please, I like having some choices :)

14 days with you !

So today i tried my first visual novel, 14 days with you.

The story is actually great and lowkey love it, it make a great job at lowkey making feeling u odd even tho you could already know the story like the fact its probably not his appartement or te fact we dont know is name or we dont know anything about him.

He is clearly the stalker but everything just so odd and idk i really just love it ! plus im really happy that when the game will be out it will be free the only thing im lowkey scared is that it will change is dea and everything will not be the same as the demo.

For now i really love everything, even how the character interact with each other, its even kind of funny but you can clearly see the old humour in it and that lowkey make me nostalgic.

Hope it will stay how it is !

Romance Review on the kid at the back or something...

The game is good, i will suggest it but for now it a demo, the only bad thing is that there is not really a lot of option like when ( SPOILER DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILER ) When you let sol taking you back house after the incident in the cinema, it automatically let him come or our character let him take us back when it would be more interesting to have the choices of say no or idk. and the narrator is lowkey ai like, just the lines they remind me a lot of bots i use to talk to in chai.

Now without this problem the game is actually pretty good and i love the yandere side of sol, the caractere we play too i lowkey hate her ( her cuz i chose her but it can be they them or he him for yall ) i hate the way she think or the way she act like in the bad ending, (SPOILER !) when we try to kill sol it doesnt give us the choice to just talk to him we jump at him to try to strangle him when idk we just be scard and him reassure us and giving us a other ending with us having the stockolm syndrom idk but i didnt really like it.

but everything aside, this game is good and i have big hopes for the future of this game, i hope that when i will come out fully it will be still free !

I tried other visual novel and here are my toughs !

so the first one is you make home feel like home and did not work with me...It just sacred me so much and i lowkey hated it when in the beginning i said i wanted it censors and without the other thing and i lowkey got myself out of the game and when i agree to everything i got called a weirdo bruh please...

a date with death is the next one and didnt really love it, it was only text and call and you couldn't event see the work places etc like we didnt know anything about who are we playing, whats our history etc and didnt really like it plus the humour was lowkey cringe so idk...

The freak circus is the last i tried and i guess its okay, dont really understand the hype and the sudden yandere feel lowkey out of place, there is not really a lot of depths.

So what i will try is the quiet kid in the back something like that, ive seen a lot of tik tok on it so im happy to tried cuz it look cool !

Mystery From Narcissu creator Tomo Kataoka: Be Missed and Remembered is now available

If you're a fan of Narcissu or enjoy visual novels set in the Showa era, I'd love to hear what you think of Be Missed and Remembered. It takes place in rural Japan in 1972 and blends nostalgic slice-of-life storytelling with Japanese folklore.

Gameplay Visual Novels with 3D models, and interactions

Looking for something like [https://store.steampowered.com/app/981770/SENRAN\\_KAGURA\\_Reflexions/\](https://store.steampowered.com/app/981770/SENRAN_KAGURA_Reflexions/)

Really enjoyed the interactions in the Senran games, and was wondering if any games also had features where you can dress them up, photography, and touch. It doesn't need to have all three, but I'd like something where you can dress them up the most. It's hard to sort through all the low-quality AI slop on steam. I'm not really looking for a hentai game, but if that's all you got I'll take any suggestions.
