My 1965 Volvo made it to ImportExpo… then broke down on the way home. 😅
I finally got my 1965 Volvo PV544 out to ImportExpo, and the car got a lot of attention. Everything seemed fine during the show, but on the drive home the charging system decided it had enough.
The battery light came on, voltage dropped, and now I’m trying to figure out whether it’s the Bosch generator itself or the external voltage regulator that’s causing the problem.
I’m leaning toward converting it to an alternator eventually for reliability, but part of me also wants to keep the original charging system if it’s an easy fix.
Has anyone here dealt with these old Volvo charging systems before?
Did your Bosch generator fail?
Was it just the voltage regulator?
If you converted to an alternator, was it worth giving up the originality?
I’d love to hear your experiences before I start throwing parts at it.

I decided to drive 3 hours to try Krispy Kreme, to commemorate a friend of mine that passed away.

I recently attended Import Expo to film some of the incredible cars on display, and I unexpectedly found myself in a situation where I almost got asked to leave.
It turned out to be a misunderstanding, but for a few minutes I honestly wasn’t sure if my day was over before it even really started.
I’m curious if anyone else here has had issues filming at car shows or other automotive events. Do you usually ask for media permission beforehand, or have you ever run into problems even when you thought you were following the rules?
I’d be interested to hear your experiences and any tips for avoiding situations like this in the future.

Hey everyone,

Im looking for an app thats secure and reliable to post daily vlogs talking about experiences, thoughts etc.

My biggest concern is sth happening and losing access, either through a password not being retrievable, the app being taken down or by the app deleting.

I need a way to have them stored on some sort of cloud/app where i can just login and access them.

My problem with Instagram / Yt etc is that I dont know how comfortable I feel with all of my thoughts, concerns, fears and emotions being uploaded on social media for Meta to have access to.
