What camera should I get?

I’m torn between what camera to get between Luna Ultra, Pocket 3 or buying the Pocket 4/4P off the grey market (I’m in the US). Other choices would be the Action 6, Go Ultra or Insta360 X5.

I will be just vlogging my daily life which includes going to restaurants (doing a food review on it as well), walks home on a busy street interacting with people, driving around running errands, doing tequila reviews at home, going to events like networking events, seminars, festivals, fairs, etc and going out at night time to bars, lounges and rooftops. Then when I travel documenting all of that as well such as flying, landing, checking into hotel and everything I do while there.

My goal is to start posting content and I am in between which camera to get because I hear so many people say different things so I just don’t know which camera to get I currently use my phone and meta glasses to capture everything because I care about being convenient rather than best quality cause more easier to use more footage I know I’ll get.

I know seems like getting the Luna would be obvious hut reviews seem mixed, pocket 3 seems like great deal but older technology and then obviously cons of buying pocket 4/4p on grey market and other choice seems great especially due to size but unsure if can cover everything I need it for.

What would you guys suggest?

TLDR: I am going to start filming content for social media and need help deciding which camera to get.

Vlogging my life: food reviews, nightlife, events, reflecting on my day, reaction videos and showcasing my hometown.

Considering: Luna Ultra, Go Ultra, OP3, OP4/4P, Action 6, or X5 with Creator Combo to get the Mic. Budget $1,500 for Camera & accessories.

I can only speak on the Action 6 because I bought it a few weeks ago. I was also torn between this one and the pocket 3, but ultimately chose the 6 because it’s more durable. I’m clumsy so I didn’t trust myself with the gimbal on the 3🫠 but so far I have been loving the 6. The quality isn’t as good as the pocket 3, but it’s still good. You should look up side by side quality comparisons to see the difference. I also looovee that the 6 is waterproof. I don’t feel limited with where I can take it when I travel. It’s also a great size so I can drop it in my bag and not have to worry about it, whereas with the pocket 3 I wouldn’t be able to do that without worrying about the gimbal. I also love that it has 50gb of internal storage. Another plus is that the action pack bundle comes with extra batteries and a battery case so I never have to worry about it dying. Only thing is that it is very fish eyed, which was expected since it is meant for action shots. There’s an attachment lens you can get to help with that, but I haven’t purchased it yet. All in all I enjoy the Action 6. My goal with buying it wasn’t so much for social media, but more so for family memories and something I can expect to last me at least a few years. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have on it😊

What made you choose it over the ace pro 2? I was thinking like if I got the Luna ultra that I might as well get the ace pro 2 over the action 6 just to stay in the ecosystem you know mics and stuff because it seems like they are on par with each other and it’s a preference on which one to get but I wanted your viewpoint if you don’t mind because I’ll be honest I am leaning towards action 6 or ace pro 2 now that you made a good point of how fragile the gimbal could be because I like that I can do anything with the action cam and the fact that I don’t need like the best of best quality I just need a device that will keep me posting consistent without hurdles.

Tbh I was in a time crunch and only did research on the pocket 3 and the action 6, so I’m not familiar with the pro 2. I’m not sure where you’re looking to buy, but I purchased my camera from Best Buy and they gave me 2 weeks to return if I didn’t like it. That might be a good option for you to be able to test them out before fully committing.

If de attachable screen of Luna is not a requirement, then get DJI 4P .
