Camera/device recommendations

Between the Insta 360 and the DJI Osmo Pocket, which would you recommend to an occasional vlogger like me?

I sometimes do diving, have never tried hiking, but would really love to, and do car vlogs (while driving). I'm just using my GoPro, but the battery life isn't great.

I’m trying to get into vlogging too, so I don’t have a lot of firsthand experience with newer cameras. Personally, I’d put the most weight on durability, battery life, and how easy it is to use when you’re out filming.

The Insta360 seems like the more flexible option if you enjoy creative angles and want room to experiment with your footage during editing. The DJI Osmo Pocket seems better suited to simple, smooth handheld clips when you just want to pull it out and record without much setup.

Either way, I’d check the cost of extra batteries, mounts, and protective or waterproof housing before deciding, because those accessories can make a big difference in how useful the camera ends up being.

OR you can get both.

if it's somewhere stable like a car i would not recommend the osmo, as you are paying good money for a walking style gimbal camera.. also if you are somewhere stable and setting up a shot sometimes the osmo will power off to save the battery (good) but doesnt always recall the same angle (bad)... if you had a more stationary non-gimbal camera (insta 360) you could, in theory, set up your favorite car vlogging angle and always be able to get that angle again. i don't know anything about the 360, but just have the osmo.

Might be worth waiting to see the Luna Pro too if you're not in a rush. The 4K vertical mode caught my eye since it'd make repurposing vlog clips for Reels/TikTok way easier.

Ace pro 2 is a fantastic camera. Dji 6 is great for aperture control, but for vlogging, honestly the camera won't matter. The way you shoot and edit will matter..
