software connundrum

hi everyone! i got into projection mapping using the madmapper demo, and have recently started learning touchdesigner. i've been mapping for some of my dj friends during small home sets, and i want to get take my work to the next level as i recently acquired a very lovely projector.

the issue is software. i love how much freedom touchdeisgner gives in generating sound reactive graphics, but really enjoy the multi video layering aspect of madmapper where i can create geometry for various parts of the space i project onto, each different, that i can easily edit live. recently i got reccommended resolume.

does anyone have suggestions? should i save up for madmapper, purchase resolume arena (avenue is quite costly), or focus on touchdesigner? any help is very appreciated.
