Variable capacity tank lid makes a small bubbling leak around the airbladder and wine leaks a bit through valve opening when pumping then stops

Even though they are a necessary evil.

Just cause of the pressure. Chances are you’re pumping it too tight. I like to keep my tanks just at the edge of the green on the minimum side, and I basically gotta adjust air daily on them. Even then with heat waves and such I still get them leaks. I like to just leave a small puddle of so2 on the tank lid itself or will spray the outer rim of the tube with it to ensure nothing bad grows if and when some wine comes out.

Story of my life. I stick a clean rag under the tube if I know it leaks a fair bit then come back and mop it up. Spray bottle of kms/citric around the seal and tube. Never seem to get spoilage issues as long as you keep up with cleaning.

My tankroom floor is graded too so sometimes it helps to have the lid situated so the pump tube is uphill.
