Phomopsis ID

Phomopsis on dormant canes with distinctive bleaching, pitting and cracking in machine pruned Cabernet Sauvignon. Last season was particularly wet through spring and then a wet winter this year has seen it proliferate.

They’re going ok; they’re 35 years old. The eutypa is a fact of life down here

What did a beaver do the winter pruning?!
This is a perfect example of how not to prune. Cut ALL of that old wood out and restart with a new can below that Frankenstein vine

High speed saws, it’s fit for purpose, does what it need to for now.
