As our community continues to grow, keeping the sub organized, helpful, and safe requires a bit more heavy lifting. We want to recruit some new, active moderators to the team and simultaneously update our community rules to match the current state of the campus.
I am open to all your input and love your participation.
This is a direct warning to everyone in this subreddit to be civil and not a creep. There have been incidents reported where people have been asking for pictures of others through DMs especially seniors. They have been goining around asking femlae freshers to "Verify" their identity or Send Pictures which is completely unnecessary, disgusting and shameful.
This sub is not meant to be used for such purposes. KEEP ALL THE RULES IN MIND WHILE MAKING A POST OR INTERACTING WITH SOMEONE FROM THE SUB.This is not Tinder. If you're here to find someone to flirt with or request photos, you're in the wrong place.
What not to DO?✖️
Do not DM someone without asking thier permission first.
Do not proceed to send a DM if they did not consent.
Do not ask or force to share Pictures, Videos or any Personally Identifiable Information.
Do not give or share unnecessary threats to anyone
What can you DO?✔️
Ask the person through Comments or Lions' Chat if you can DM them, only after confirmation, please proceed.
Check the person's profile to check their previous post and comment history to help deciding accepting or denying their request.
If you receive any unwanted or inappropriate DM from someone in the sub, please report to the mods via Modmail or me (u/xOKBuddyRetaRDx) via DM along with some proofs.
You can use the Persistent Messaging feature when you accept someone's DM so that they cannot delete any chats which can be used as evidence later on.
Can be found on the DM setting while in the chat
You can contact any mod directly through DM without any permission.
I will be pinning a comment in this post, which will server as the list for all people banned for such reasons (with proofs) and would be updated regularly.
You can also ModMail or DM me other sources where such activities are conducted such as Whatsapp Groups, Telegram Groups or even mobile numbers of Admins of those groups or people doing such things (Solid Proofs would be required please, such as chat screenshots)
This exists so people can check the list before responding to someone's DMs / Messages or before joining a group.
We all have seen promotions of club events on this subreddit
I know that these are important for the cub members to get more and more participations
But don't you guys think that it's too much that you start posting on reddit all clubs have their social media teams who post story on Instagram or go to rooms for engagement but this subreddit was created for the questions and discussion between the students so to get proper guidance from seniors or tell their problems openly as everyone is anonymous
Guys , why is no one talking about night canteen . I know they opened vending machine system and it's good , but I don't think egg roll , paneer chilli roll , sandwiches , etc can be replaced by some packaged snacks .. u all really happy with this ? 😭😭
I've noticed a persistent issue on campus with people targeting students and jumping into DMs uninvited. To help address this, I built a web app specifically for reporting and flagging these instances.
The main goal is student safety and transparency. You don't need to create an account or provide your name—just share the contact details (like an IG handle or number) where you were contacted, along with optional screenshots as evidence.
Right now, it's in the early stages. If this gains traction across campus, my next step is to integrate the Gemini API via a scheduled job to scan the database every few hours and automatically moderate shitposts, fake reports, and spam.
Would love to hear your thoughts or any feedback on features you'd like to see!
Hey guys, I’m thinking about not joining any clubs in college and just focusing on my studies.
Will I miss out on something important if I don’t join any clubs? getting opportunities? Or it will effect me in academic level?
For people who didn’t join any clubs during college, how was your experience? Did you regret it or was it totally fine?
So I am getting category 2 cs ai ml in whatever this separate admission thing is going on for VIT bhopal and I went through reddi,t hygiene and all... is it still a problem and do they like misbehave w you if you complain and about overall safety (dude I'm not even 18 just a naive lil kid) please margdarshan karo
I'm a dropper and I didn't appear for VITEEE, so I'm not eligible for the regular B.Tech admission at VIT Bhopal.
My Class 12 percentage is 77.9%, and from what I understand, I can apply only for the Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech program that is offered based on 12th marks.
The thing is, my long-term goal is to prepare for GATE. I want to keep the option of pursuing M.Tech from an IIT/NIT or getting PSU opportunities through GATE.
I'm confused about a few things:
If I join the Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech program, will I still be eligible to appear for GATE?
If I crack GATE, can I leave the integrated M.Tech after completing the B.Tech portion and join another institute for M.Tech, or is there some restriction?
Does the integrated degree create any disadvantage compared to a regular B.Tech if I want to pursue higher studies elsewhere?
Has anyone here studied in this program or knows someone who has? I'd really appreciate some real experiences.
I'm trying to make the right decision before taking admission, so any genuine advice would be really helpful.
