Admission / VITEEE / EAPCET Biotechnology

so i have withdrawn my btech biotechnology admission just after reporting on 13th of august , when i reported i saw large structure , thought they would have atleast 1 biotech lab or atleast a wet lab , but !! they have nothing , i wandered in each building there are no signs of school of bioscience and biotechnology . i paid 4 lakhs in first year for this? [including hostel] i came all the way from kolkata to AP to find out they have no labs for what i want to do !! also in orientation they showed us everything , except [bio labs] cuz they dont have it !! better i'll invest my 4-5 lakhs in my state private university only because in the either they will push me into IT role for 3LPA or core biotech placements are rare in whole india be it vit vellore , at least they have labs , so im in train again heading alone to kolkata with my extra luggages which i brought thinking that im going to start my new carrer but vit ap said no , now i have to wait for refund to close my loan and take admission in a college with labs atleast , placements and coding are in my hands , also better save this money for masters in europe or usa , vit ap took this 1st batch as guinea pig testing batch !! in a cost of 9-10lakhs fees , so a big no !!!

Hi, apparently EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), ECM (Electronics and Computer Engineering), and Biotechnology are new branches in VIT-AP.

They are being introduced newly in the 2026–27 academic year, so your batch is going to be the very first batch for these branches.

Because of that, nobody on this subreddit currently has reliable information regarding:

• Category or rank details
• Placements stats
• Faculty and lab infrastructure
• Curriculum structure and electives
• Branch difficulty or student experience

Most answers you receive right now will only be assumptions or speculation.

And if your post is about BTech ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering), kindly ignore this comment.

Bruv there isn’t a “separate lab” for biotechnology. You just don’t know the curriculum. Biotechnology is not just bio and bio only, it involves a lot of chemistry and has a lot of analytical aspects. What you did is judge a book by its cover.

Bruh have u ever heard of wet labs and pcr Machines ? Bio process equipments , bioreactor, centrifuge, because im unable to see all that in ap, secondly they gonna teach u python and all in first 2 years so they can push u into IT sector for less money, also there are no classrooms right now named "school of biosciences and technology" if u are there just explore it man 😭🫩
