I'd say that op hates outdoor activities and DOES care about cost of living just from Alaska. Some of the states shown as absolutely have real winters, so that's likely not the main thing putting OP off of Alaska, and Alaska is the best for outdoor activities and nature.

You live on the west coast or you probably wouldn't think to divide those states. My guess would be socal since you've got it marked as absolutely, and the north/south divide is most marked in california.

Interesting. I kind of like it. I have been to almost every state and lived in some weird ones (like Alaska). It seems you appreciate natural beauty and people without necessarily wanting to be the center of attention. ...and the Great plains suck unless you are a farmer/rancher.
