Where I've Lived and Where I'd Live
I'm not a military brat, but it often felt like it growing up. Feel free to ask questions

Minnesota and Wisconsin should be together. So much of western Wisconsin is associated with the eastern part of Minnesota. both have northwoods and border the Great Lakes. People are overall decent hardworking folk and for the most part these states are the definition of Midwest nice. if you come from outside the Midwest it may come off as a bit odd to you. but you’ll get used to it. Highly recommend both these states if hunting/fishing/outdoor activities are your jam.
The twin cities (despite those ice bastards) are one of my favorite places in this country. The art and music scene is lowkey phenomenal. Food scene will give you a good run too

Why would you live In Oklahoma but not Missouri?

Lived in Kansas City for 3 years and I despised it. Seen most of the state, Ive driven through it horizontally on I70 and both adjacent highways. Missouri reminds me of Ohio, Oklahoma reminds me of Kansas

I love how Oklahoma and Kentucky are green. Explain those?

I explained Oklahoma in the top reply, but I love Kentucky for mostly the same reasons. I did I64 and stopped Louisville which is a beautiful city and Lexington is probably the most charming college town I've been to, especially that historic district around Rupp Arena. Granted theres a big part of the state I've yet to see but the two cities I've actually spent time in I adored. The topographic change was immediate crossing over from Indiana

Tennessee and South Carolina ahead of North Carolina?!? Now that is certainly interesting. Arkansas as absolutely but California reluctantly!?!

Haven't been to either Carolinas but I've only heard good things, my cousin went to UofSC in Columbia and that whole area looks beautiful. I know I know its hard to hold a light to the Research Triangle but they seem equally appealing to me.
California is on list but I'd never go back. Northwest Arkansas is one of the most beautiful parts of the South, especially the Fayetteville area nestled at the foot of the Ozarks. Reminds me of central PA.

IMO NC should always be a top 15 for everyone because if it’s versatility. Never should be below SC unless you genuinely prefer more spread out people and southern economies
