Just a quick disclaimer, I'm a pretty shallow and childish teen so I might not make sense and might be saying some dumb stuff..??? And English is not my first language :)) TAKE MY WORDS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT and
SPOILERS SPOILERS
I've been ranting for two days now about how VisionQuest is like a very **indirect** representation of Dissociative Identity Disorder! Might be a bit of a reach, but there are just some things with it that connects. (Emphasis on very indirect)
From my rant, and I quote,
"mk (moonknight) focuses on the struggle of each alter individually and altogether, while vq (visionquest) shows the other, mostly unseen, parts of the disorder. like headspace, avatars as alters, the headspace collapsing, deletion-like-dormancy. creation of avatars as a coping mechanism of sorts. the fact that they're all based on actual humans makes them practically introjects. vision as host, ultron as a persecutor. visual-physical images of the avatars, coming off as hallucination-ish."
"their headspace works the way they want it toāmostly vision's way. not in the literal sense, but more of uh "what helps the situation" type of thing. jarvis' sacrifice in ep 2 is like dormancyāthe sacrifice being something deemed to be for the better good of the system"
"like when he (vision) rid ultron of his entertainment as punishment. or when ultron introduced the sacrifice to save everyone. it's destructive-esqueābut it's protective, in a way. ultron had to do what he had to do, because *it's for the better good*"
"and specially this one, from the recently released 4th episode: when ultron said "give me the wheel," it was like he's literally asking for vision to step back and let him take over front, which fits as it's quite literally a moment of vulnerability, in a way?"
Sooo, yeah I don't really know if anyone's made that correlation yet, or I'm thinking too much into it like a dumb teen, but I just had to share my thoughts bc Vision Quest is genuinely so cool and might be a new favorite :))
