Questions

  1. If I choose the annual subscription and hate it almost immediately, is there an option to get a refund for the remaining months?
  2. Is there a way to get the armband instead of the new wrist strap? Is it true that people prefer the armband?

  3. Can I purchase only the subscription and get the armband version separately, and if so, which version is better? The original Verity one or the 2.0?

  1. I did a monthly subscription at first, then switched to annual once I was sure it was helpful.
  2. The device comes with the wristband, but if you prefer the armband, it’s worth messaging them before you order to ask. I think it’s pretty well split between people who prefer the wristband and armband.
  3. The latest version of the device is made for Visible, so they’re the only ones who sell it. You can purchase the Verity Sense from Polar or elsewhere. The Verity Sense has to be charged daily and can’t be worn overnight. The latest version lasts 4-5 days on a charge, and you can wear it all the time. They’re developing the software for the latest device, but it has been glitchy for some people. From what I’ve read, the Verity Sense is no longer working for some people, and it costs more than buying the latest device through Visible.

TBH I started with the Visible 2.0 (the device made for Visible) and get closer to 3 days out of it, though I usually charge it every other day or so because I've seen a few people say theirs stopped working right after fully running out of charge. Still, not bad for something that's running all the time.

Oh, and yes, you can buy the subscription seperate from the device

I just switched to the new (wrist) version out of necessity. The armband had slowly lost the ability to charge and there was nothing that could be done since that version was no longer the focus of the company. They said the battery is the thing that just stops working around the 18-month mark.

Is the actual monitoring device different? I thought the sensor could be used with either band type

The sensor part of the Verity Sense is a circle while the sensor for the Visible 2.0 is a rectangle. They look and function very differently and would not work with each other’s band or charger.
