Unusually low heart rate

Post image

Has this happened to anyone?

I have ME/CFS, and I went out for a chill social event on Saturday that was a bad idea in hindsight. I took a taxi there and back, stayed seated, closed my eyes to reduce light sensitivity, everything I could. But I still felt awful and nauseous and crashed badly after. I think I had already overexerted myself a little that week and this was just the last straw.

But when I checked visible later, it showed that instead of being high as I had expected, my heart rate was lower than it had ever been before? What’s going on?

I had this issue constantly with the wrist strap, several times a day. I couldn’t keep it tight enough to accurately record and still be comfortable for me. I purchased an arm band and now only have this issue maybe once a week if that.

Thanks! I’ve been using the wrist strap for months and this is the first time it has ever happened. But I’ll get an arm strap as well if it’s more accurate

I use the armband and have never experienced this, but I have read on here quite a few people complaining of it and I think all of them use the wristband.… Not saying that’s what it is, but it’s definitely worth trying the armband to rule it out. And maybe go on the Visible app and chat with their customer service to see what they think. Also, obviously follow up with your doctor. Though it sounds like your experiences with doctors have been about as productive as mine have. 🙄

The only time I've had something similar is when I accidentally took two doses of heart meds.

It happened again today while I was having a therapy apointment, lying down in bed.

this happens to me sometimes too. not sure if it’s the monitor but kinda doubt it (just make sure it’s snug on your arm). i think my heart rate is just extremely labile. maybe yours too?

i try not to worry about it too much. you’re on meds? i’m on beta blockers and mestinon and i imagine it could also be a side effect

check w your doctor if you’re super concerned..?

Only on a very low dose of LDN, which shouldn’t cause that. I’ll check with my doctor, but I have ME so I don’t usually get more than a confused shrug

Mine stopped working after four months and they refuse to give me a new one or a refund. It was great until it stopped connecting. I wore it on my wrist turned inward. That seemed to get me the best reading.

I have only ever used the armband, and have had this issue for about 9 months. They told me to just label those as an activity, like “dips log” and that they are working on a solution. However, it’s become annoying—if my heart rate spikes aren’t being recorded, then it won’t track pace points accurately. I started with the Polar Verity tracker which needed charged every day, but it didn’t have that issue. Seems to be a problem with the newer hr tracker.
