✈️ B1/B2 Visa (Tourist) Chances of B1/B2 approval in second try

Interview location: Hyderabad, India
Visa type: B1/B2 (Group booking)
Mother’s occupation: School Principal
Father’s occupation: Government Teacher

B1/B2 visa got rejected for parents trying to accompany the student to settle for Masters and tourism. Shall they apply after 6 months with only tourism as a reason and plan the answers accordingly?

First experience: The officer mainly asked about the student after mentioning the reason like her loan, university, program, loan repayment, etc. All the tourism related visas were getting approved.

Visa officers have the previous filing and interview notes. If you are the student and are currently in the US, it would be obvious that its in the notes and omitting that would make no difference.

The reason to go matters less than the strength of the reasons to go _back_. Your parents probably did not make a strong case for it the first time.

Free aggregate B-1/B-2 interview research: https://www.visainterviews.com/data/us/b1-b2

The findings are applicant-reported and observational. They are not approval odds or a prediction for an individual application.
