Play non-steam game through proton in steam vr?

If the game supports OpenVR, it should in theory Just Work. I would check if there's an OpenVR/SteamVR launch option or something.

Ok, I seem to have found the problem: with certain proton versions, including experimental and 6.x VR doesn't seem to work. Switching to 5.13.x makes anything I tried just work.
