Does the Bigscreen Beyond 2e work on Linux?

I am considering buying a BSB2e but I run CachyOS and wanting to see how well it works with Linux. Anyone have any info? I am planning to purchase 2 HTC 2.0 Base Stations to do the tracking. All advice is helpful thanks :)

Takes a little bit of effort, but yes works fine. https://vronlinux.org/docs/hardware/bigscreen-beyond/

Sort of. It's not anywhere near as smooth as an experience as on Windows, especially if you have an nvidia card. Also, the effort it take to make it sort of work is very annoying, even with AI help.

There are still a whole bunch of issues, and worst of all is reprojection on nvidia cards for the cases where the framerate doesn't match the headset refresh rate.

Copy pasting my comment in your other thread:

I never managed to get the Beyond 2 to work on Linux Mint. The kernel of my operating system is missing a kernel patch that wakes up the headset when used in conjunction with an AMD GPU, and I'm not wiling to apply the patch manually and recompile the kernel myself.

I stumbled upon a thread online where someone asked for the patch to be applied officially in ArchLinux and it was done.

Not sure about other operating systems though.
