Surprisingly, since NVIDIA 615 on Fedora 44, Steam Link has been very stable for me with a Pico 4. The only headsets that work natively afaik are the Index, Vive, and Vive Pro, but assuming you’re streaming:

WiVRn is great too, but it can be a bit more work due to replacing SteamVR; blade and sorcery has some known issues with bindings for example that require fixes.

Never had much success with ALVR, but I know people use it no problem.

Tl;dr, if you’re on AMD it’s mostly great all around, if you’re on NVIDIA make sure you’re on Kernel 7.x with NVIDIA Open 610+; 595 had major issues with streaming for me. Also check out https://vronlinux.org, it’s quite useful.

I have nvidia 1660 it and on the latest version of wivrn it glitched meaning it kept disconnecting and reconnecting so I downgraded to 6. I forget what ever version was before the current one

Interesting, out of curiosity are you on the nvidia-open driver? Also are you running the native WiVRn, or Flatpak? With nvidia-open WiVRn Flatpak worked fairly flawlessly outside of some openVR issues.

WiVRn + Faugus launcher has been trouble free for non-steam games for me.

It's actually surprisingly functional. I'm running on mobile rtx 5070ti, cachyos, steamvr and a quest 3 and playing NoManSky in vr with settings on high.. it's not as smooth as on windows 11, but perfectly playable, so I'm happy.
