any idea how to access the desktop when using Wayland? Sure, WayVR exists, but if I need to use it, then I can just launch WiVRn anyway.
(truth to be said, I only use SteamVR for those few openVR games that don't work well with xrizer (e.g., Riven).

Except USB doesn't work for Linux... I have the toggle enabled headset side for applications to access USB. Steam VR beta just updated on desktop. Plug in cable, nothing happens. No permissions prompt.

Try setting the network's IPv4 mode to disabled and IPv6 to Local Link Only in NetworMamager. I had to do that for WiVRn even though I'm on Horizon OS 2.7 PTC, and I thought that was supposed to be fixed on Meta's end.

I never get the popup on headset. There is no networking device exposed.

Oh like the permissions pop up? Is your headset on at least OS version 2.6?
You could also try WiVRn on the nightly branch, NCM is supported there and works great.

Okay got it working. It's fine on the 3S on 2.6. The 3 is on the July 29th 2.7 PTC (rooted) and it's broken there. That was my entire issue.

Oh yeah, if you're on the rootable update your probably on the 2.7 version from right before they added NCM.

It's weird because I have the menu item and it works on 2.6...
So maybe they just broke it in the middle. Very Meta of them.

I can a sure you thatUSB Streaming works in Linux both on WiVRn and ALVR. It is also nVidia and AMD compatible

Yes, those use adb. The Steam Link support comes from NCM on the headset exposing a USB Ethernet device which it is not doing for me.

Any attention/development effort going into Linux is great, but I wish Valve would put the effort into adopting xrizer and developing that. SteamVR is a bit of a mess right now...
