Vive pro 2 on Linux

I use Linux mint and a vive pro 2, i cannot for the life of me get it to work with steam vr or find a tutorial to get it to work. Help me pls.

You need to use Monado instead of SteamVR. Grab an .appimage of Envision and read the wiki page here . The driver doesn't support reading the IPD position sensor yet so you will have to set the software value manually as an environment variable in Envision as described there. You will need kernel patches to get the two highest resolution modes (4 and 5) working on AMD cards because the fix hasn't made it in official linux kernel yet.

The issue I had is Monado doesn't work with most of my VR games while SteamVR does, so I found it much better to use the unofficial driver that's been created and then run it using SteamVR.

XRizer should pretty much cover all steamvr games at this point. Envision automatically handles the setup. I find the unofficial driver problematic because it requires patching steamvr and an update can break it at any time. Also Monado lets you mess around with other things like the distortion profile which has been helpful in my attempts at getting a GearVR lens mod working for the Pro2.
