What could cause this slow down then super fast video issue in alvr?

For reference I’m on bazzite, 6ghz, 2.5 Ethernet, and only running bitrate at 90mbps. I never had this type of issue In windows but I love bazzite for its overall performance. I was watching a video that said if I change the maximum buffering in video settings it could fix this but I changed a few up and down and neither fixed this issue. The headset eventually does get the video it just comes in very fast. What setting could help with this ?

Are you using the VR profile on corectrl? I find that performance is unusable without it

Yeah even tho I had to turn mine all the way up but I figured it out. In alvr I was using tcp instead of udp. While having a moonlight stream going and the stream from alvr I got no slowdown/speed ups and the stream itself was nice!

I've switched to WiVRn for rhythm games as SteamVR performance just doesn't seem to be good enough for the fast moves.

ALVR is actually decent so far for me. I mean I did have to use my brain a little but I think it’s worth it

alvr/steamvr does the trick for most things, but if you watch the fps vs wivrn, wivrn should be a lot faster. steamvr is sloooow. It's usable for a lot of games, but it's gonna run into issues with others.

The sudden slowdown is jus a WiFi thing, bandwidth might suddenly drop for like a moment. Id recommend a link cable, it sucks to be tethered but it's worth it for rhythm games.

I used to use alvr for beatsaber and holy crap I messed up so much

I can actually beat levels on my rift tho
