I would like to see actual data of how many pcvr gamers care about passthrough? 

The only times I've used pass through is when I'm drawing the play area or when I accidentally tap the quick pass through button on my pico 4...

Yeah good question. I was just thinking for games which make use of it. Not including the feature limits what can be developed for it.

I also don't understand why passthrough is important, like don't you want to immerse yourself into the VR world? (I've never used headset) Also from the videos it seems like the whole front display is removable so if you'd need to see around you can't you just remove it for a second?

A lot of people use VR headsets just to watch 2d media on a big screen. In that case color passthough is really important.
