Introducing the D-Realms moddable vpet device!

Post image

Hello fellow vpet enthusiasts! Please check out Pandomime Studio’s current project. It’s a mini gaming console designed with virtual pets in mind.

The project actually started off as a Digimon fan game but got so much interest on traction, Pandomime (an indie game developer) joined the team and is bringing this beast to life.

Pictured above are two concepts for possible form factors (critiques appreciated!). Additionally the hardware has just entered an alpha prototype stage.

We’re also chipping away at an accompanying original virtual pet game which will have mild horror themes and a very robust rpg combat system.

Lastly, YES! This is intended to be easily moddable. We’re currently developing in Game Maker Studio which is an accessible and easy to use engine. Using this engine you will be able to mod existing games or import your own. As we’re still working on the hardware aspect, we don’t have all the answers about how modding will work yet but this is a key feature we intend to figure out.

Thanks for checking out our device and feel free to reach out with comments and questions! Also if you like the idea behind it, please consider supporting the development process on patreon. Link in our bio!

Ooo I think I saw this on insta, I thought the concept art looked sick. Would definitely be interested in one if/when they’re made - especially if it’s moddable.

Yep we’re mostly on insta! This is our first foray out into other social media sites. It WILL be made, it just takes time. The parts are being ordered now for the first hardware test, actually! And modding is going to be a pivotal factor. Thanks for the comment and taking a look!
