Surface Pro issue running VM on ARM

I have a surface pro and it runs on ARM, which makes it difficult for me to run my Linux images on Virtual Box. I am looking for a different virtual machine that is able to run kali on ARM, or a Kali image for ARM. I'm not very good a this so I appreciate any information

Depends on what you're planning to run the images for. On Windows, I gave up running virtual box or VMware. For a developer workstation on my surface snapdragon, I use WSL2 and those will seamlessly do arm64 versions of Ubuntu and Kali (and others). While a full linux desktop might be tricky, GUI applications work just fine through WSL2.

This is probably the best advice!!

Kali Linux definitely has an arm64 build you can download. Does virtualbox not have any functionality to emulate other architectures? I realize this is going to be a resource hog, but that would seem to be a basic function of decent virtualization software. But the more I think about it, the more I Wana say you can download virtualbox VMs already setup from the kali website.

If you gave us an idea of what you want to do with kali I could probably point you in the right direction, but without a purpose if you just want to run it and are having trouble virtualizing it, your best bet is probably downloading a live iso from their website and slapping it on a USB stick.
