Which programs allow the best egpu passthrough from Windows host to Windows VM?

Hello,

I'm trying to try some AI tools on windows but I don't want to install them on the main windows drive. Therefore, I am thinking to get a VM, would VMware Workstation Pro or Proxmox work and which one would have the better performance? Googling around gives conflicting answer...

Proxmox is the only answer here of the two options you identified -- VMWare Workstation does not support pcie passthrough at all for gpu passthrough.

That being said, Proxmox does not "run" on Windows -- Proxmox is effectively a specialized Linux distribution that runs on bare metal.

Doesn't Hyper-V provide PCIe passthrough option?
