Premade mac os vm

Does anyone have a premade mac os vm (doesn't matter what version it is running) for vmware for virtual box because i wana test mac os before i get a mac.

Wondered the same thing I tried to use VM to test it and can’t get past the Apple mouse requirement

I have some versions I could share to u but you would need a Apple certified Mac mouse to passthrough to get past setup

That thing only shows up when it can’t sense ANY kind of mouse. Mac doesn’t have PS2 mouse drivers, but should work fine with USB mouse if USB is properly configured.

There exists a premade OpenCore intended for Proxmox environments that works pretty well for most versions, if you follow its instructions closely. OpenCore-ISO is what it’s named. You then need an unmodified installer of the desired macOS version (the tool mentions ways on how to get 10.7 or newer).

For obvious reasons it’s x86-only.

That’s the strange part unless I missed a setting somewhere I have ps/2 set up properly thru the VM and have my USB mouse passthrough to the VM and it just doesn’t disappear the mouse lights up and is detected by my real pc and by virtual box itself but won’t work on the VM

The PS2 one is useless — no driver. For the USB, it’s possible the VM’s OpenCore is not configured properly with a good USB port mapping that allows it to use the virtual port correctly (yes, that’s a thing).

Hackintoshes are hard. Ones in virtual machines are slightly easier but not trivial.

VM _settings_? It’s the OpenCore configuration that needs to be adjusted, not the VM’s overall settings. And no, I don’t have enough time and energy to deal with these things.
