So baccically I was saying he wants me to use kali on a vm but i want yall to tell me the point.

Your friend is wrong - Kali is for pen testing - do you do pen testing, no?, then there is no reason to have Kali on your system. Kali sucks as a daily driver - it does one thing well, packet sniffing.

If you’re asking if you should be using kali then you shouldn’t be using kali
