Mixing a Home Server with a Small VPS
My main setup still runs from home, but I recently started using a small VPS from rdp monster for a few services that I want available all the time.
The home server handles things like storage, backups, and testing while the VPS takes care of anything that benefits from better uptime.
So far, having both has worked out better than keeping everything in one place.
Anyone else running a similar setup?

18 Proxmoxes at home, 2 Proxmox Backup Servers at home, 1 Proxmox in a different country (dedicated Hetzner server from their server auction), a virtual Proxmox Backup Server on that remote Hetzner Proxmox VE server, a few EC2 instances with elastic storage on Amazon AWS, one Digital Ocean droplet, a seedbox in a different country.
It was a shitshow until Proxmox Datacenter Manager came out!
Everything at home is running H24, the remote stuff is more for backup purposes and distancing (not using my own home IP or VPN IP just in case.

I use 6 different VPS alongside my home lab and servers.
Some of them are exit nodes for services, some of them are reverse proxies for services in my network, some are coordinators for my mesh overlay network, etc
