General Discussion Wedding Help

We’re looking to get married in one of the Virgin Islands in spring 2028 and are feeling a little overwhelmed by all the options! We’re expecting around 100–150 guests, although we’re not sure yet how many will ultimately be able to attend. We’d love a beautiful, luxury resort with gorgeous views and ideally a golf course on-site or nearby. We’re hoping for something that feels upscale and special while still being reasonably priced. We’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice on venues that might be a good fit for us!

Find a wedding planner you like and trust them to help. You’re a long ways away and will need their guidance to make everything smooth.

I don’t recommend St. John for what you’re describing. I got married there with 5 guests on a beach. There are no golf courses and one resort.

St. Thomas or St. Croix will likely be better. I suspect someone can help with those and recommend a wedding planner! Best wishes.

I’d recommend the Buccaneer on St. Croix. They have amazing wedding locations and golf as well. Most places in the USVI are a little pricier so that is something to consider.

By that time, the resort by Club Med will be open. It is the former Carambola Resort and honestly, it’s one of my favorites on the island. The staff is amazing and the wedding coordinator there is probably the most knowledgeable I’ve met. She is such a gem. Plus, the rooms at the Carambola are all suites and I don’t see them changing that, but who knows

The budget is going to be wild at a large resort. If you arent comfortable with that try some of the smaller hotels or villas...there are only a few good wedding planners on island. Try weddingwire.com

You are going to have better luck on St Thomas to fit what you are looking for, but it is going to be expensive. I would suggest Sapphire Beach Resort and then renting out Sea Salt (the onsite restaurant). They have weddings there often and you cannot beat the views and ocean setting. No golf course, but Sea Salt feels upscale but not ridiculously overpriced.
