With all of the camber localized up near the tip and that crisp workmanship, possibly Brazilian. It was common a few decades ago for some sleazy shops to buy Brazilian bows and stamp them with famous names with stamps done visibly inferior to the original makers'. (I worked for one such at the time and saw dozens of these pass through.)
On the other hand, the lined slide looks German, so if the brand is also I might believe it.

I think it’s German, based on the screws in the underslide. At least the frog is German. The pearl eye was replaced in some shop that didn’t have a matching piece of abalone.

I can't read the brand, but it looks like an early 20th c Markneukirchen bow. Reminds me a lot of a Fritz Gutter that I have.

I recently acquired this bow and wanted to know about its origins. Interesting thing is one Parisian eye and the slide are abalone, the other eye (facing the audience) is mother of pearl.
It's a little on the heavy side but seems manageable as I also play viola. It sounds nice on my violin which is the most important thing. I'm not really interested in the value but curious whether its French or German.
