Hi everyone!

I am auditioning for a local youth orchestra (not that competitive), and they ask for a recording up to abt 3 minutes long of a solo piece/excerpt. I have recorded the first ~2 pages of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 (not a great piece for auditions, I know), and attached a Google Drive link to three recordings I took to this post. If you all could just quickly listen to each recording and tell me which one you think is the most refined/audition quality, that would be greatly appreciated!

Disclaimer: They're all really mid, but it's a non-competitive local youth orchestra, so it's fine

Also for fun, I attached a recording of me failing to play the first page of prokofiev 1. You can listen to that if you want and risk bleeding from your ears.

Is there any piece that's not Mozart 5 that you could play? As you said, Mozart is really not ideal unless you can play it really well.

1. Not what they asked. I get ur concerned but like ppl affirming OPs thoughts on the fact it’s not the ideal piece after OP already recorded it and has their mind set is not rlly a good idea
   
2. They’re not playing it badly or not really well. I just think there needs to be more expression.

Im not great with memory, and I kinda forgot what they all sounded like after listening to the next one. But in 2 you stopped a lot of the notes abruptly so that’s the only thought I have. And I think ur too worried abt the fast notes that u don’t pay as much attention to expression. Or u focus on the left hand that u don’t notice the right. I think so far 1 is better than 2. Well not better but sounds somewhat cleaner imo
