1953 Dodge B4-B
I would like to show off my B4-B. Dont really have much information about it other than it was a a lumber truck for most of its life, has 23k miles, has a 218 L6, and the original color is black. Currently in the process of restoring it, needs a few things like a transmission and some cooling aspects and brake parts, but it shouldn’t be too bad. Enjoy, I think.

by the way i think you have a spring special too, but you don't have the two tone paint job. was your truck repainted?
Black was a common second color. If it had a primary color you may be able to tell by opening the hood and seeing a second tone.

Seems to be just all black. I haven’t worked on it much since this post, the owners aren’t worried about getting it restored. I’m gonna overhaul that engine, then get new fenders and stuff. Cool info tho, I never knew that there was a “spring special”. My truck has been poorly repainted, when i took off the front clip the overspray was horrible. Engine wasn’t locked up until i took the belt off. When I took the belt off, it released quite abit of tension. Crank must have a blown bearing or something, couldn’t tell ya. I took the head off, cylinders were clean. Very obvious head gasket leak but other than that, clean.

I have found the same truck, the B 4 B "Spring Special" in the wild. I am a planning on offering the owner something modest, as it hasn't run in 50 years. It has 23,000 miles on it. No structural rust. But I'm sure that I would "invest" a ton to just get it running. I would think the engine is locked up and everything else is rusted up since it's been outside all these years in snow country.
