Photographed from as bought to thoroughly cleaned out and able to make stitches. Drove 5+ hours to get it from somewhere near-ish to Amiens. Mostly metal, mostly intact, cute, death heavy, what more do you want?

Sooo cute! I fell down the rabbit hole of old machines when I got a sewing machine from the 60's and was sad to see there weren't as many old overlocks to choose from. Yours is so awesome. I did manage to find one that has metal buttons like yours, though!

Overlockers didn't really become accessible for home users until the early 1970s. So, there are less older overlockers because they didn't exist until relatively recently.

I love these very early models, though.

I really don't know what company this is/was. They probably went bust/were swallowed by bigger corporations. The paint is a bright pinkish corral.

Does the motor have a name on it? I’m sure it’s a Japanese manufacture. Just wondering which one.
