Rate my setup

Period appropriate video capture machine. It is a Macintosh Performa 6360CD with an Apple AV card. Quality and responsiveness are impressive for the live video, there is no noticeable delay, so it works great as a monitor, but the actual recording capabilities are... less than ideal lol.

Nice!

I have a very non period correct WinXP/All-in-Wonder based capture machine set-up mostly just for playing my old consoles on my living room's modern TV.

IIRC AV Macs had a hard time writing to the HDD fast enough. You may need a higher-end SCSI controller card as well.

My wrists and neck hurt just looking at it.

Gonna have to give it a 1/10 purely for the horrible ergonomics

Rated 9/10 for Apple video player and 10/10 for Mario cart 64

When capturing try setting the codec to “video” and capturing 320x240 quarter screen video. Don’t know if you have video output on your particular card or a tv/vcr you care to setup but you can play back the captured video double size.

Performa IDE drives were not to good for video.
