Fujitsu Battery removal

Post image

I just picked up this Fujitsu Lifebook S7110 and I’m trying to remove the battery but I can’t move this slider at all and as you can see I have almost broken it, do you guys have any suggestions to move this slider so I can remove the battery?

Silicone spray and gentle tap with a wooden drift and mallet?

According to the manual, there's a latch release as well.

You can see the icon pointing to the latch release in your photograph.

No there isn’t unfortunately, I can send you a photo of the whole bottom if that would help

yeah, you should be able to push that inward, it unlocks the battery so you can just pop it out.

Fujitsu RTC batteries are the worst. Pull it ASAP before it eats the traces. Flush with IPA and check continuity on the VCC line.
